So, I don’t remember specifically, but apparently Kelly got us tickets to the Texans Titans game tomorrow. I know I should be excited, but my team is the Oilers, except that we lost them to this group off players who pretnd to be as good as I remember the Oilers were. Anyway, we stopped in and saw my folks, which was a good thing. My mom is doing really well. She got her staples out this week, and the hair is starting to grow back already.
More to come later. I blame any errors in this post on the iPhone and it’s infinite suckitude.
More on that as well.

Everything is progressing as expected, the incissions have been made, and the opening in the skull was successful, and they are working on the brain now.

My mom is through the Pre Op, and is now in surgery. Pre Op was an hour long process, but she is ready to go, at least thats what the board in the waiting room and the anesthesiologist are saying.
I am sitting in the waiting room with my immediate family, my mother’s sisters, and my girlfriend and sister in law. There is nothing that we can really do at this point other than sit and wait, the surgeons have told us that it should be a 4-8 hour procedure. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to see the real-time 3d models of my mother’s brain. I know the doctors have access to that, because thats what they were doing at the crack of dawn today. I have seen the MRI’s they took a week and a half or two weeks ago. They are interesting to look at, and make me wish I still had all the old scans of my broken arms and such.
I will update later.

Once again, I have let work consume me. It does because that is the person I am. I don’t mean for it to happen, but I inevitably end up spending too much time at work, and not enough at home, hence the infrequent posting. Since my last post, I have had a lot going on. My employer was in a contract dispute with Time Warner Cable, and that has been resolved. I launched a new website at work. I didn’t do the majority of the heavy lifting, though I did a lot of the site building. I guess I should put that as I didn’t write the CMS, but I did a lot of the migration work. In addition we have moved to a whole new suite of providers for our services, and I think that minor issues aside it has been a huge success, and has allowed the company to move forward approximately 10 years in technology terms. I have been working on my bike recently. The task at hand is to repair the brakes, because as long as the front brake is not functioning correctly the bike is out of service. I understand the value in having properly functioning brakes, so that repair has to happen before I can continue to ride. My cousin got married last weekend, that was kind of cool. My Mother’s entire family was there, so it gave Kelly the opportunity to meet my two uncles whom she had not met yet. I did get some bad news, though that is not available for public consumption. I had a physical for the first time in 10 years, and the doctor’s response was “Continue present care” which is none, and “Return in 1-2 years”. So, I feel pretty good about that. Thats about all I have in stream of conscious updates, so I will just throw a bunch of photos up here, and will make my normal promise to try to post more frequently.
